Listed or verified: what is the difference?

Every genuine trade business can be found here for free. Verification is the separate, optional layer that gets checked, published and monitored.

Being listed is free

A listing shows your basic details in the directory. It costs nothing, needs no paperwork and is never hidden behind a fee. Your business may already be listed from public sources; if it is, you can claim it. If it is not there, you can add it yourself in a few minutes.

Verification is earned, not bought

Verification means an independent team checks your paperwork against official sources, publishes what it finds as a Verification Record, and keeps watching it. Membership pays for that work. It does not buy the outcome — the ticks depend entirely on what the paperwork shows.

What verification adds

  • A published Verification Record with a date against every check.
  • The green verified status customers can see in search results.
  • A certificate and your own QR code that opens the live record.
  • Artwork carrying that code, for the van, the website, quotes and the wall.
  • Ongoing monitoring, with reminders before anything runs out.

You can stop at listed for as long as you like. Nothing is lost either way: if a membership ends, the free listing stays exactly as it is and the record simply stops being shown as current.
